07/12/2010 -- The Villa Group, one of Mexico’s largest privately owned hotel
groups, continues its strategic growth with new properties, expansions and
renovations to provide guests at every property with superior hospitality in
premier oceanfront destinations. The latest jewel scheduled for the company’s
crown is Villa del Palmar Loreto, a $60 million, world-class, five-star resort
featuring 171 villas, all with views of the Sea of Cortez, tennis courts,
free-form multi-level swimming pools, several restaurants and five-star
amenities. Villa del Palmar Loreto will open the first phase of its resort
facilities in January 2011, including all stunning villa accommodations, a
35,000 square-foot spa and fitness center, and three restaurants, including a
fine dining ocean front restaurant, a sushi and seafood eatery and an
international buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Set in a spectacularly secluded area along the Sea of Cortez, Villa del Palmar
marks the first property in Villa Group’s 1,800 acre development named “Danzante
Bay.” The master plan calls for a five-year timeline at the end of which
Danzante Bay will feature seven resort hotels including a Villa La Estancia, 240
home sites, additional restaurants and a Rees Jones golf course – all with
Loreto’s little known collection of islands in the Sea of Cortez as their
ocean-front view.

Located a little more than midway down the Baja Peninsula, the area has long
been known as a rustic setting famed for its 1697 Mission – one of the first of
the historic California Missions – and the majestic Sierra de la Giganta
mountains that back the city. However, a lesser known attraction is the largely
protected and pristine marine environment at the city’s front door. Home to five
secluded islands – Coronado, Del Carmen, Danzante, Montserrate and Santa
Catalina, Loreto has ensured that both the islands and the water are protected
from commercial development, fishing and any damaging sporting activity.
Preserved for non-impactful enjoyment, the “Islands of Loreto” are home to 900
species of reef dwelling and migratory fish, and are a wonderland for sport
fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, whale watching, day trips for

Danzante Bay is located about 20 minutes from downtown

property, is located in the heart of Loreto’s tranquil center. This 118-room

Loreto is located in the northeastern region in the state of Baja California Sur,
217 miles north of La Paz. The climate is mild and warm, with an average

The Villa Group Announces Two New
Developments In Mexico

The Villa Group has announced
that it has successfully completed the purchase of oceanfront parcels in
Punta Cancun and on the bay of Ensenada Blanca in Loreto, Baja California
Sur, Mexico, and is now in the design and construction phase of destination
resorts in both locations. Upon completion of these four new properties, The
Villa Group resort portfolio will expand to 12.
“With the proven success of
our Villa La Estancia and Villa del Palmar brands in Cabo San Lucas and
Puerto Vallarta, our plan is to build these properties side by side in other
destinations,” said Owen Perry, one of The Villa Group’s owners. New
developments will be fashioned like the company’s self-contained resort
complex in Cabo San Lucas, where guests and owners of adjacent properties
have access to multiple restaurants, a health spa, fitness center, tennis
courts, a super market and other services.
The two distinctive property
styles have positioned The Villa Group as a company providing a compelling
vacation solution for a broad range of clients. Villa del Palmar offers
versatility as a hotel and timeshare resort, while Villa La Estancia is
flexible with fractional and full ownership opportunities, as well as
vacation rentals for high-end clientele.
